How to be a Radical Leader?

     I just Got done reading The Radical Leap Re-Energized by Steve Farber.
Here are some of the things I learn about Extreme Leadership.

   An extreme leader takes a Radical Leap. Here is what LEAP stands for.
Love
Energy
Audacity
Proof

Love;

  • Love generates energy, Inspires audacity, and requires proof.   LEAP, you see, is simply the Extreme Leader's active, dynamic expression of love.
  • Love is the ultimate motivation of a the Extreme Leader;  love of something or someone, love of a cause, love of a principle, love of the people you work with and the customers you serve, love of the future you and yours can create together.
  • Without the calling and commitment of your heart, there's no good reason for you to take a stand, to take a risk, to do what it takes to change your world for the better.
Energy;
  • The Extreme Leader is a generator, a powerful force for action, for progress, and an enthusiastic believer in people and in their capacity to greatness.
  • Some of the things that generate energy are;
  1. Love,
  2. Great ideas
  3. Nobel principles
  4. Leaping goals
  5. Interesting work
  6. Exciting challenges
  7. Compelling vision of the future
Audacity;
  • For the Extreme Leader, audacity is a bold and blatant disregard for normal constraints in order to change the world for the better. Love-inspired audacity is courageous and filled with valor.
  • The Extreme Leader is audacious not to serve his or her own ego, but to serve the common good. And to do so boldly and blatantly and let the naysayers be naysayers.
  • They are audacious enough to define their world, how they fit into it, what they are called to change and give it their best to change it and leave the results up to God.
  • They don't judge themselves based on the outcome of their efforts. If they succeed, they don't take the credit, If they fail, the don't blame themselves.  They only take credit for the fact that they tried.
Proof;
  • Are you really an Extreme Leader? Prove it.   Prove it through the alignment between your words and your actions. Prove it by standing up for what's right.  Prove it through measurable , tangible signs of progress.  Prove it through your own experience. Prove it through your successes and failures.
